The Lectures will
constitute an annual scientific event in the
field of mathematics and its applications,
dedicated to the memory of the late Italian
Ambassador Luca Attanasio, who made a
                          significant contribution to promoting
education among young people in the Democratic
Republic of Congo, and to his bodyguard
                          Carabiniere Vittorio Iacovacci.

                        The 2025 edition of
Math-TYS
                            Attanasio-Iacovacci will be led, this
                          year, by the 2025
LMS-MARM
recipient Letterio Gatto, and will focus on
                          two introductions, offered through two
                          intensive, research-based courses, to the
fundamental topics of algebra and geometry,
                          without neglecting applications, for example,
to mathematical and theoretical physics or
                          quantum computing.

A new feature of this initiative: the
participants themselves will take on the role
                          of teachers, within the
“Mustapha Milambo”
                          Laboratory led by Professor
Franck
                            Kalala Mutombo, by proposing exercise
solutions and leading seminars, in order to
                          test their level of learning.

The intensive course n. 1, entitled

                            will guide participants in
                        the practical construction of Grassmann
manifolds of vector subspaces of a
                        fixed-dimensional complex space.

The intensive course n. 2, is entitled

                         The goal of this
second course is to offer an elementary and
working presentation of the theory of
symmetric polynomials in the light of new
methodologies allowing a more flexible use of
the formalism and applications to multilinear
                          algebra, combinatorics, algebra,
                          representation theory, mathematical physics
                          (Bose-Fermi correspondence and integrable
                          systems), algebraic geometry, by revisiting
the Grassmannians already covered in the
